Kenyan Genge artist Mejja, also known as Mtoto wa Khadija, is set to release his first solo album after 17 years in the music industry. The artist recently announced that the project is complete and ready for release, though he has not yet disclosed an official release date.

He gained prominence in 2008 with his hit single “Jana Kuliendaje,” which won an award at Kenya’s Chaguo la Teeni. In 2014, he co-founded the group The Kansoul alongside Kid Kora and Madtraxx, releasing popular tracks like “Dabo Tap.”
Over the years, Mejja has been known for his collaborations, including hits like “Cheza Kama Wewe” with Trio Mio and “Utawezana” with Femi One. This upcoming solo album marks a significant milestone in his career, showcasing his evolution as an artist.
