This year’s Super Bowl saw the largest TV audience to date, with an average viewership of 127.7 million across various platforms including Fox, Tubi, Telemundo, and NFL digital channels. The overall viewership represented a 2% increase from the previous year, which had set a record of 123.7 million viewers across CBS, Paramount+, and other media channels.

The biggest spike in viewership occurred during Lamar’s halftime show, where 135.7 million people tuned in between 8:00 and 8:15 PM ET, marking a peak in engagement. In addition to television viewership, Fox also reported a record-breaking 13.6 million people streamed the event via Tubi, with nearly a million viewers using NFL+ and other NFL platforms.

Lamar’s performance was more than just a musical spectacle—it was a major draw for both fans and those curious about his ongoing feud with rapper Drake. The Grammy-winning track “Not Like Us,” which had recently made history by sweeping all five of its Grammy nominations, was speculated to make an appearance, and Lamar delivered. His set lasted nearly 13 minutes, thrilling audiences with its powerful energy, unexpected celebrity cameos, and musical hits.

The show featured appearances by Hollywood legend Samuel L. Jackson, DJ Mustard, and familiar faces like singer SZA and tennis icon Serena Williams, who are linked to Drake’s past.

The excitement surrounding Lamar’s set was palpable, with fans eager to see how the rapper would incorporate his personal and professional rivalries into his performance.

With these massive viewership numbers, Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl Halftime Show will be remembered as one of the most groundbreaking performances in the history of the event.

It continues to show the increasing influence of streaming platforms and the unparalleled reach of live sports and music broadcasts.
