In a swift and decisive move, Kanye West has been dropped by his talent agency, 33 & West, just nine months after signing with them. Daniel McCartney, a representative of the agency, confirmed the decision, citing West’s harmful and hateful comments as the primary reason for the termination.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!McCartney’s statement emphasized that neither he nor the agency could support such behavior. As of now, Kanye West no longer appears among the talent listed on the 33 & West website.
The separation follows another round of controversy surrounding West’s behavior, specifically his recent antisemitic comments. On February 7, he posted a tirade on X (formerly Twitter), sparking outrage once again.
A few days later, West further fueled the controversy by purchasing a Super Bowl ad that featured his merchandise website, Yeezy.com. Among the items showcased was a white t-shirt featuring a black swastika, which was widely criticized.
In the wake of his public statements, West also made a notable appearance at the 2025 Grammys, accompanied by his wife, Bianca Censori.
The couple’s attention-grabbing appearance at the event was followed by even more inflammatory comments from the rapper, which included praising Adolf Hitler and calling himself a Nazi. West controversially stated he would “never apologize” for his antisemitic remarks, and even expressed admiration for Hitler, calling him “so fresh.”
This latest wave of controversy echoes the fallout from 2022 when Adidas severed its lucrative partnership with West over similar antisemitic statements. The financial consequences were stark, as his net worth plummeted from an estimated $2 billion to $400 million overnight.
Now, in 2025, West is facing legal consequences for his actions. A former marketing staffer has filed a lawsuit against him in Los Angeles Superior Court, alleging that he fired her after making derogatory comments about her appearance and texting phrases like “Hail Hitler.”
The lawsuit also claims that West frequently directed antisemitic remarks at his Jewish employees, including sending text messages such as “I am a Nazi” and “Welcome to the first day of working for Hitler.”
As Kanye West faces increasing backlash for his actions, it remains to be seen how these ongoing legal and professional challenges will impact his future in the entertainment and fashion industries.
