Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Having previously co-parented successfully with her first child’s father, who remains a close friend, Matubia had hoped her second co-parenting experience would follow a similar path. However, she revealed that the situation with Lung’aho did not turn out as she had expected.
This disappointment led to deep regret, with Matubia admitting she struggled emotionally during this period. “I used to pray to God every night, asking Him not to wake me up the following morning,” she disclosed, reflecting on how overwhelming the situation became.
She also expressed self-doubt, questioning her own decisions in choosing Lung’aho as the father of her second child. “Yaani Jackie, you didn’t learn. Ukaona uchagulie mtoto baba hamtaki?” she remarked, expressing regret over her choice in a co-parenting partner.
Matubia went on to explain how the emotional toll of the situation led her to experience feelings of resentment toward her daughter—not out of a lack of love, but because she felt she had failed in providing a stable environment for her child.
While Matubia has since worked through these struggles, her story sheds light on the emotional complexities of co-parenting and the challenges single mothers face when navigating difficult relationships after separation.
