Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! In an emotional video, Daisy addressed the public, explaining that just because she was posting did not mean she was not mourning.
“Naomboleza venye naweza. Just because I’m posting doesn’t mean I’m not mourning,” Daisy tearfully stated, explaining that the online perception of her actions was far from the reality of her grief.
Daisy, who has previously lost both her mother and father, emphasized that she truly understood the pain of losing loved ones.
“I’m trying to make ends meet! Stop fighting me and understand me,” she said. “My heart is still there. I’m still mourning mkiniona hivi… Place niko lazima nipost picha zinakaa hivo,” she added, highlighting the difficult balance she was trying to maintain between her personal grief and the necessity of continuing to work and provide for herself.
The content creator also called out the double standards in the way people were reacting to her posts.
“Shiphira, Kinuthia, Naomi Kuria are posting, why are you not bringing the same anger to them?” Daisy questioned, noting that others in the industry were facing no such criticism for posting while grieving.
With a clear sense of frustration, Daisy continued, “Guys, I’m still hustling, still trying to find my way. Nitalipa rent aje? Mimi sina mama, baba anaweza nisaidia kulipa rent.” She explained that her continued work was a means of survival, as she no longer had the support of her parents to help with her financial responsibilities.
Diana Daisy’s emotional plea serves as a reminder of the complexities of grief and the pressures that public figures face, as they navigate personal loss while trying to maintain their livelihoods.
